Renewed and Refreshed in Minnesota

June 5, 2017-It’s been a while since I have posted on here. I’m convinced that I have found most of the birds locally, but it really amounts to sheer laziness on my part. Which brings me to this post. A wedding of two friends of mine brought me to Minnesota. In researching the state and the local birds I found that the greatest population of bald eagles of any state reside in Minnesota, mostly along the Mississippi River.

Finally on the last day I was able to get a shot of a bald eagle feeding over the river in Wabasha. It’s not a great shot as the bird was in the distance but it was a shot nonetheless. I am able to add six birds to the bottom line.
