January 5, 2017- Travelling to Denver over the New Year holiday reignited my passion for birding. As I have successfully located more birds, logically, my ability to add new birds has become more difficult. While there are still hundreds of birds to locate in California, my usual haunts have kind of dried up. So, I’ll have to get more creative and do more road trips to locate new species, such as making a desert trip.

Speaking of travelling, I am going to go to Austin, TX. at the end of January. I’ll be short on free time but hopefully I can add a new bird or two to the list and a new heading as Texas would be a new page.
